[A personal note from b.:] The band that would later have become Lacklustre Mirror started out in 1998. Our gatherings then were more about having a good time rather than rehearsing. In 1999 I decided to try doing something solo. I wasn't much of a singer then, and even less so - a sound engineer, so the resulting quality is an utter crap. It is further degraded by 128 bps MP3 encoding - the only format these recordings have survived in. I've tried to improve the sound a bit before uploading these tracks, but little I could do in fact.

These songs eventually made it into our debut album's first part (lacklustre-mirror.bandcamp.com/album/the-book-of-the-shattered-bonds-ch-i-dark-water), although 'Lacklustre Mirror' song was dropped out due to its inferior quality - music and text-wise alike.

However, this is the part of the story. Thanks to a short, but unexpectedly positive review of this demo at Gothic.ru we had sort of an initial exposure in 2000, and next year we were invited to perform live for the first time.
